Actually, it depends on what country you live in. Property law in Singapore says that you do. In America? No.

In AZ, yes legal property extends to the center of the earth, but no–you don’t have mineral rights to it. Odd, no?

In the city i live in (Norway) you only own 10 meters down!
My aunt and uncle have a farm, but some crazy old guy wanted to buy rights to the land underneath it because he was convinced there was oil there. Luckily he never got round to it.

and if you dig in north america to the center of the globe you wont arrive in china. as china is on the northern hemisphere too.
and even if you would you would have to buy the other end of the tunnel as that would belong to a chinese man.

The only country I know which has specific laws about this is Japan – anything more than 50m deep below ground is not owned by whoever owns the land above it.
ummmmm most places in america you “own” the land but if the government wants it they get it and getta dig it up play in the dirt and dont have to fix it
