I think this might be a reference to the little stuffed pillows that have pine needles in them to give them a fresh scent–they’re souvenirs when you go vacation in the mountains. Maybe somebody thought of making stuffed teddy bears and putting pine needles in those.

I just looked up and wow it’s pretty awesome I’ll admit it does ruin the comedy value a little bit but not that much because it still sounds funny. Also this is set up perfectly because the one Before this is entitled “Probably” and the one after it is entitled “Um…No It Isn’t…”
